To prepare garlic naan you need to first prepare a dough. And to prepare that you require;

Ingredients to prepare a dough

·         1/4 cup lukewarm water
·         1 tablespoon sugar
·         3/4 teaspoon active baker's yeast
·         3/4 cup Whole Milk
·         1 cup non-flavored Yogurt
·         4 cups all-purpose flour
·         1/2 teaspoons baking powder
·         1 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate (Baking Soda)
·         Salt to taste
·         Butter or Ghee
·         Garlic paste

Instructions for preparing Garlic Naan

Mix all the ingredients and prepared a soft dough by combining water, sugar, and baker's yeast - mix well until the yeast is dissolved. Allow it to sit for a couple of minutes or until the mix starts rising. Then as soon as the yeast is bubbly, add whole milk, plain yogurt, flour/ Maida, baking powder, baking soda, and salt and blend well the batter with a silicon spatula till it forms a dough. It should be gluey.
Part the dough into ball size spheres and cover the dough for about 1 hour, as to make the dough elastic.

Cook in Tandoor

About one an hour before cooking, start-up tandoor as you need to achieve a temperature between 750® - 900®F.
Now take out the dough and pat down to make flatbread bread.
Add garlic paste, herbs, and cilantro to the bread.
Carry cushion in a manner you to apply to the tandoor wall structure.
Apply dough to another side of cushion (garlic/cilantro side touching cushion).
Apply butter or Ghee to tandoor wall (use a glove if necessary)
Watch as the bread bake
After about 60-90 seconds, remove the bread with the help of removing skewers.

Method to Serve

·         Apply dashes of butter or ghee to bread
·         Let sit for 1 minute
·         Cut into pieces and serve.
Serving: 6-8 Naans
