To make tandoori chicken you need:
Marinate
the chicken with:
- 1 kg chicken (broiler) properly diced in
pieces
- 1& 1/2 tsp ginger paste
- 1 & 1/2 tsp garlic
- 2 Tbsp tandoori masala paste (Optional)
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup hunged yogurt
- Red chili powder
- Garnish with:
- 1 lemon
- 1 onion, chopped into rings.
Procedure to cook Tandoori Chicken
- Make small cuts on the chicken with a
knife or a fork all over
- Mix all the ingredients of the marination
and blend it well with the chicken.
- Leave the margination for about 3-4
hours.
- Now place a saucer-like plate upright in
the Tandoor
- Arrange the chicken pieces in it
inserting the heavier pieces outwards.
- Cover the chicken and cook for five
minutes. Toss the pieces and cook the other sides for another 5 minutes.
Uncover and cook further on high heat for 5 minutes.
- Allow it to stand for 2 minutes before
serving.
- Garnish with lemon quarters and spicy
onion rings

without oil by just brushing the chicken for some time before the last turning.
